Chulalongkorn university

Chulalongkorn university is the oldest university under Thai modern educational system,founded in 1917 by 
king  vajiravadh(Rama vi).who named it after his father,king chulalongkem(rama vi).It is one of the best universities in Thailand and southest Asia according to several university rankings.It comprises ninteen faculities and institues.                                                   

Its campus occupies a vast area in downtown Bangkok Diplomas were traditionally handed out at graduation by the king of Thailand,created and begin by the king prajadhipok(Rama vi).But at present, King Bhumibol aduly adej(Rama vi),delegates the role to one of his daughters,princess maha chakri Sinndhern.                                                                                                    

The university firstly granted certificates to its graduates.The education for a degrees was then prepare.The rockefeller Foundation recorganized the curiculum of the faculity of medicine In 1923,the Faculity of medicine become the first faculity to accept students from the secondery education(known as Mattayem).The remaining faculities then fellewed suit.After the 1923 Revolution the khana ratsaden wanted the legal and political studies to be independent from''royalists'' chulalongkem.                                                                              
 University so they took the faculity of law and political of law and political science into their new  Thammasast University in 1933,In 1938, the chulalogkorn University's  Preparatory School was founded to provide pre-collegiate  education for its students. Those who managed to enter the university had spent two years in the preparatory before going on the faculty of Arts and Sciences.


The Preparatory School,however ceased to be a university-owned preparatory school in 1947 and became independent Train Udom Suksa School later, the university established Chulalongkorn University Demonstratior School(CUD) system as laboratory primary and high schools faculty of Education.
